This project takes personal orthodontic experience as the starting point and observation point to explore how human beings, as subjects in the process of modern culture, satisfy their desire for body modification through consumption behaviour. Through advertising, the orthodontic market promotes the whiteness and tidiness of teeth to the symbol of high class status and healthy beauty. In the continuous comparison with the perfect tooth image, consumers regard the imperfect tooth as an ideographic symbol deviating from modernity and health, and obtain authoritative correction through medical diagnosis and treatment.So I use digital modeling, sculpture and installation, for the audience to create extremely clean and quiet space of diagnosis and treatment, intention to experience the modern capitalist society and culture specific described in the "order" teeth: namely for absolutely fascinated a smooth and even teeth, and the anxiety and panic behind this crazy.
